A tall tantalizing Texan from the hustling
city of Houston, Charlotte A. Pope, is an
enchanting 2nd Soprano that has been engaged
in a life long love affair with singing,
jazz in particular. She's performed with
Grammy-award winner, Thelma Houston &
Grammy-nominated jazz guitarist Doc Powell,
as well as with industry luminaries such as
Yolanda Adams, Mariah Carey, and renowned
songwriter/producer Gregory Wright.
Charlotte has utilized her considerable
skills in singing commercial jingles for
radio and television. In the theater she
received rave reviews for her portrayal of
the legendary song stylist Sarah Vaughn in
the original cast of "When Divas Were
Divas"
Despite her success in the commercial realm,
Pope credits her dedicated participation in
church music ministries, such as The West
Angeles C.O.O.G.I.C, for her development and
ability to sustain and nurture her craft.
She is equally at ease belting out soul
wrenching gospel tunes as she is in
caressing the melodic rifts of her first
love, jazz.
"To God be the glory" she says, as God has
been abundantly good to Charlotte A. Pope,
blessing her with a unique talent and
winning charm.
